Comparison is the thief of joy... and growth.
A Note from Leigh
It's a quote I've been thinking about lately—not because I needed another not-so-gentle reminder to put down my phone and stop doom scrolling.
It's because I've noticed something.
Well... a lot of things. But one in particular.
We're surrounded by a constant stream of "look at me."
- Look at my launch.
- Look at my new logo.
- Look how busy I am.
- Look at my perfectly curated office.
- Look at my latest reel that's gone viral.
It's enough to make any business owner wonder if they're somehow falling behind.
After more than twenty years of working alongside entrepreneurs, I've learned that the businesses that struggle the most aren't always the ones with the smallest budgets or the least experience. More often, they're the ones constantly second-guessing themselves.
"Should I change my logo? Should I add another service? Should I post more? Should my website look like theirs?"
The truth is, confidence doesn't come from keeping up. It comes from understanding your business well enough to make thoughtful decisions—and trusting yourself enough to stand behind them.
That's what strategy really is.
Not reacting.
Not chasing.
Not copying.
Making intentional decisions that support your goals, your clients, and your vision for the future.
As you read this month's issue, I hope it encourages you to spend a little less time looking over your shoulder and a little more time building something that's authentically yours.
Happy reading,
